Hello, thanks for joining me.
This is starting of to be quite the trip. My 30+ hour train ride is done. I’ll be checking into the local hostel and spending the night in East Glacier.
Never mind, I forgot my planning guide at the train station in Chicago. Love my father for calling and picking it up for me. Huge thanks again. All was not lost for entertainment. Rather than reading my guide-book I listened to the volunteer National Park rangers narrate the history and facts as we traveled along. This was a surprise as I did not know the park service did this. Another wonderful treat was listening to the accordion players in the lounge.
I’m tired, i don’t care what people say sleeping upright in a chair just doesn’t work for me. Maybe it was worth the expense for a sleeper car.
Tomorrow I’ll get my permits for Glacier and figure out logistics to Chief Mountain. I won’t be heading into Canada so this was the next best starting point.
Cell phone coverage is spotty so until next time… You my track me.
Thanks for stopping by,
