Hello and thanks for joining me.
So it is time to start getting serious about my Continental Divide Thru-hike this year. I’ve decided to switch things up from a gear perspective and have decided to try a new backpack. Today I ordered ULA Equipment’s Catalyst Backpack.
There are a few reason’s I’ve chosen to go with this backpack, here are three reasons why. Not in any particular order:
- I have never owned or used any gear from ULA Equipment and would like to expand my gear knowledge and experience. I’ve heard people rave about ULA Backpacks.
- The catalyst will accommodate all my gear along with the additional gear I may need to carry when I have a guest hike with me. I’m also looking for a backpack that will last a while.
- I use my backpacks for many years so I imagine the Catalyst will work for future adventures.
My next step once I have the backpack is to become comfortable with loading and unloading it. This is going to be fun, I guess I’ll have to plan a few quick trips to make sure I’m comfortable with it. Interested in find out how this backpack worked for me.
