So I woke up this morning and took a look at my “to do list” It is about this time that I start to include planning for my next hike. I love it when my list has items like, read planning book, select gear, figure out how I’m going to get to the terminus. oh yeah, I should also start to work out. My normal walks during the week are only a hour. Its time to bump this up a notch and start carrying some weight with me. Planning a thru-hike takes a little bit of time but is not entirely difficult.
This is the life of a hiker and with all this wonderful weather we are having in the Chicago-Land area, it’s making me more excited to be planning another epic adventure. So I should get back to that whole planning thing. Why am I spending so much time behind this computer screen? Time to start digging through the gear closet. Where are my trekking poles??
